Have you ever thought about becoming a charity trustee? It can
be a fun and rewarding activity.
We are always
on the lookout for enthusiastic people to oversee and participate in
the running Root & Branch. Typically, as a trustee,
you will have general experience of management, administration and
committee work. In addition, you may have particular skills in
fund-raising, finance, health and safety, publicity, IT or mental health issues.
We are particularly keen at the moment to appoint a trustee who
can help us with our fundraising activities or health and safety.
Do have a look around this web site and
think about what you could contribute. The responsibilities of
trustees are set out in the "The Essential Trustee"
document which can be downloaded free from the The Trustee Network
web site - click
here. Trustee meetings are held once a month in the
evening. Trustees are also expected to take on tasks and
responsibilities that may occupy them for one or two days a month.
You can find a list of our current trustees here.
